In a busy commercial sector where great service is sometimes overlooked in favour of getting the job done, we prefer to apply the personal touch to our work and to make you feel exactly what you are – the most important part of our ever-growing company.
Based on how you use our services, you will meet individual members of our team first-hand with the added confidence of knowing that Paul Hales, our managing director, will be leading his talented team from the front.
Paul Hales
Managing Director
Paul started Hales Commercial Ltd in 2000, some 25 years ago, and has been in the trade for 38 years. As an IMI and IRTEC trained professional, Paul is one of our qualified MOT and tachograph testers. With an unbridled passion for a new challenge, and as a regular course attendee who likes to expand his current knowledge, Paul Hales is also an IVECO trained tradesperson.
Charlie Hales
HGV Technician
Hales Commercial is very much a family-run business and Charlie is Paul’s son. He has been in the trade for 10 years and started his training with Mercedes up to Level 3 standards. As an accredited IMI technician, Charlie also works as an MOT tester and tachograph tester. With a great approach to customer service, Charlie is a team player who likes to be fully involved in every job.
He enjoys expanding on his diagnostic and problem-solving knowledge.
Asim Riaz
HGV Technician
Trained to IMI standards, and with City & Guilds Level 3 qualifications and the appropriate LOLER training, Asim is a fantastic team player with more than 16 years of experience and excellent customer service skills. He is also an MOT tester and tachograph tester, and no job is ever too challenging for him.
Asim loves to learn new skills, grow his knowledge and face new challenges.
Marvin Swift
HGV Technician
With 5 years in the trade and IMI accreditation, Marvin is our MOT preparation specialist and a tachograph technician. As a Level 3 technician, he is able to deliver a full range of technical solutions, liaises well with the customer and enjoys developing his skillsets to build on the knowledge that he already has.
Marvin has a passion for diagnostic and mechanical work.
Jake Charles
LGV Technician
Jake has also trained to IMI and IRTEC standards. With 10 years of experience, he is passionate about engine rebuilds and maintaining fast turnaround times for our clientele. With excellent diagnostic knowledge, Jake is an especially talented tradesperson when it comes to commercial vehicle air conditioning.
In his spare time, Jake enjoys rebuilding cars.
Lauren Hales
Office Manager
Lauren is Paul’s daughter and a qualified transport manager who has trained to 1Link and R2C standards. She has worked in the trade for more than 13 years and has excellent customer service skills. Lauren is the main face of our office and a dependable team player with exceptional communication skills.
She has an excellent knowledge of the commercial sector.
Danielle Glover
Credit Control
Danielle is our Credit Controller. Danielle brings over 12 years of industry experience, having worked across both main dealers and independent workshops. She holds a Level 2 Accounts and Finance qualification and possesses exceptional knowledge of credit processes and customer management. Known for her outstanding customer service and willingness to go above and beyond her duties, Danielle is a fantastic addition to our finance team.
Chloe Charles
Office Junior & Content Creator
Chloe joined the team in March 2026 as our Office Junior and Content Creator. Although she’s new to the industry, she’s quickly developed a real passion for the role and is always keen to learn. With excellent customer service skills and a flair for social media, Chloe keeps our online community up to date with everything happening at the workshop. Whether she’s creating content, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, or helping customers, Chloe is an important part of the team and always brings a positive attitude to everything she does
Tommy Allen
Apprentice Technician
Tommy first joined us on work experience in February 2026 and made such a great impression that he has since started with us as an Apprentice Technician. With a fantastic attitude, a real eagerness to learn, and the ability to quickly grasp new skills, Tommy has become a valued member of the team. He takes great pride in his work, pays close attention to detail, and is building a promising future in the industry
Wayne emery
HGV & Trailer Technician
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Wayne is one of our highly skilled HGV and Trailer Technicians. He has a real passion for trailers and takes great pride in every job he undertakes. From routine safety inspections to complete engine rebuilds, Wayne’s attention to detail and commitment to quality are second to none. No job is too big or too small, and his wealth of knowledge makes him an invaluable member of the team
